Just got off the phone with Fox Hollow. The deposit is $1000. That means we need 25 girls to pay in full now to get the $1000.
Personally, I think thats a lot, and a lot of ask of you ladies. Its really up to you girls.
I will keep looking around and calling to see if I find another place that is around the same price with a cheaper deposit.

Re: DEPOSIT for Bridal Shower
Just let me know when. Should we set up a god-forsaken PayPal account to electronically collect funds? It think that will be easier since, we all live in various parts of LI and NYC.

Yea, I have a paypal account, so if we went through with this, people can send it to me.

I am fine with paying now, especially since it will be one thing out of the way. Should we just go ahead and set a tentative date?

Re: DEPOSIT for Bridal Shower
I dont have an issue with paying in full now. Maybe we can think of alternate locations as well and see what they offer.
La Piazza ? the Millerridge? Captain Bill's? Danfords?
My neighbor had recommended these places when we were looking for a place for a shower.

Re: DEPOSIT for Bridal Shower
Hi Ladies,
I don't want to seem like I am discouraging your shower, cause I would never. I just think you guys might be jumping on this a bit early. You will have SO many more girls join over the next few months and its not even 09 yet. We had a shower all planned and ready to go a long time ago and then due to a pretty negative and c rappy situation it was cancelled. God forbid things change and you pay but then can't make it it might be difficult to get your money back. I am all for LIW showers but I just htink it might be a tad early and would hate to see you guys go through what we 09ers did! Hope that didnt come off mean in anyway!

Thanks for the advice. We kind of talked about this at our last g2g and if something unfortunate happened, and girls backed out, we would just invited our mom's or a close female friend.

Already on it. I have a few calls in. And I will report everything as soon as I hear.

Did Fox Hollow need us to guarantee a minimum # of people?

This all sounds great. Full forge ahead! What is the maximum that this room at FH could hold?

Re: DEPOSIT for Bridal Shower
I believe 125
I have a call into Blackstone, which FH owns, its a great restaurant in Melville. We get a discount since some of us are FH brides.
I have a few more calls, after that we can confirm a date somewhere.
