DEPOSIT for Bridal Shower

Original post by stinenandy2010

Just got off the phone with Fox Hollow. The deposit is $1000. That means we need 25 girls to pay in full now to get the $1000.

Personally, I think thats a lot, and a lot of ask of you ladies. Its really up to you girls.

I will keep looking around and calling to see if I find another place that is around the same price with a cheaper deposit.

I believe 125

I have a call into Blackstone, which FH owns, its a great restaurant in Melville. We get a discount since some of us are FH brides.

I have a few more calls, after that we can confirm a date somewhere.

Sagamore in Syosset on Jericho Turnpike is also a Scotto Brothers establishment as well as 7th Street Cafe in Garden City.

Also try Wickers in Hicksville they can do a sit down brunch for a good price. If you need me to make phone calls let me know.

I'd pay now if I had to as well.

i think iif we did Brides and maybe their MOH we would have alot more def's... but i do agree to wait till we have 40 to book

The problem I see with waiting for 40 is a eventual price increase due to the upcoming year. Planning now would be pivotal as all vendors are getting their 2009 price lists together. Christine, would you be able to ask how long they could hold the 'date'/ Per person quote for?

I believe its only a few days.

Let me here from a few more places and then we can make a 100% decision.

I did speak with Blackstone and their deposit is $250, but I have to work out the price still.
