We have booked our florist, and are close to booking the DJ... Know who are limos are going to be by... All we really have left is the photography and videography. I know the prices have a wide range for packages, but what is the typical amount you have to leave for a deposit when you book with them? Also, does it have to be cash or a check or can it be a credit card? Thanks in advance!

When I booked my photographer we left $150 to hold the date and then I went back a couple of weeks later and left about 40%. For the videographer I left a $500 deposit.

We had to leave a $200 deposit for my photographer and if we paid cash then we got a 5% discount (so of course we paid cash ) . For our videographer, we had to leave 1/2 of the total amount, so our deposit was $600. We paid cash on that too.

Companies out of the house would like cash/check for deposit. Final payments certfied check

We left $500 for each, and we could have paid however we wanted. I will note though that my vendors were flexible.

We left $500 for each. Try Artisan Photo Group. Chuck used to work at CLM and knows the place and the people well.

Most of them charge 20%. Most of our deposits are either in cash or check. Just make sure that you get a receipt if you leave cash. Good luck.

we left 1/3 by check for the photographer. The rest except for $400 is due 10 days before & the last when we pick the pictures up.
