deposit question

I havent gone to look for a photographer or dj yet.Just wondering about how much of a deposit you have to leave when you decide who you are going with!

Its usually about 1/3 that you have to leave

My DJ was 10%, Photo/Video was 30% (of the total package price).

DJ I think we left $500 and photo and video 1/3 of the total package.

My DJ-Perfect Parties-had to leave 1/2 to secure the date, Patken for photo & video 400 to secure the date and 1/3 up front

We left a 1/3 each for our band and photographer. We didn't want to do a bunch of payments throughout the year so this arrangement works well for us.

We left $400 for photographer/videographer, and then 2/3 is due 1 month before and DJ $300, the balance due when we give him the lists of our songs, or that night, he left it up to us
