depressed

with todays paycheck i now have 20K in my savings that i saved on my own the past two years, but sadly itll be going towards paying back my loans and wedding costs.

I hear ya. 2 months before my wedding Im going so write a nice big fat check to my hall. Im feeling the pain already!

We have a big chunk saved btw the two of us and are hoping not to touch any of it for the wedding. So far so good! But as it gets closer, I don't know! Also, we set an amount in our heads about how much we want to have in the bank the day before the wedding, so this way, if we don't get $$ for the wedding, we will still have enough for a down payment on a house!

I hear ya girls FH and I are saving as well and its hard not to touch that money I am happy that the money is building up here and there but its sad that its all gonna go all at once I wish weddings didn't cost so much

Sometimes I get real depressed about our financial situation too. It's hard to keep our heads above water, let alone have anything left over to save! But then I think about underprivileged people in 3rd world nations and I realize that we've got it really good. So that helps keep me going, it could be a lot worse!!

Not even 3rd world look at whats going on here.......Mississippi and Louisiana --- they dont have anything anymore no house - no job - no clothes everything is flat or underwater

look at it this way- at least you have the 20K- you know you can save that kind of money

and you have a way to pay for the wedding- you will make most of it back-

I know how you feel, I hate taking $500 bucks out of my account- but at least you can pay for the wedding with out worrying too much!

I just wish weddings didn't cost so much I wish I had 20K sitting there already we are saving up little by little we are paying things here and there but its hard

I just cut the smal things out like coffe in the morning, manicires I do myself and pedicures once a month instead of 2x. we also have stopped eating out and I bring my lunch everyday to work! Its amazing how quickly it adds up! Don't give up! It will all work out!
