Depressed on New Years?

Depressed on New Years?

Does anyone else get kind of depressed on anxious on New Years? It happens to me every year. I don't know why. Perhaps part of it is that Christmas is over...and that I have to go back to work. But I don't know what else it could be...especially since I have everything in the world to be happy about!

This is me but, more so because of Christmas and the whole season ending. My mom says I do this every year. But we can now look foward to saying we are getting married NEXT YEAR!!!! I wish a very happy new year Lauren!!!

AS I just wrote that I satarted to cry cause they are playing my dad's song. I miss him the most .

I guess a new year is a kind of scary thing too because you dont know what's to come... you have no idea where you'll be at this point next year. But try to be optimistic... we're all in a better place than last year, right?

And Chris - I'm so sorry you're sad about your dad. I can't imagiine what that must feel like.

We all feel a lil down this time of year - January isn't a very fun month and with all the excitment of Christmas its hard to come down from that

I think it's normal to feel a bit of a letdown after the holidays. There's such a big buildup with the shopping and parties and then there's not much to do in January.

Don't cry.. you have so many big things happening this year but, I know how nervous starting a new career can be. I'm sure you will find a good job and be a great teacher since you communicate well.

ugh, today is the first day of my least favorite time of year. planning the wedding and looking forward to going away in february are making it tolerable. new year's day always has that sunday night feeling for me--just waiting to go back to everything that stresses me out.

i am excited about meeting photographers in january though.

I feel the same way! I think it's because I am always looking forward to the holidays and now they are over and I have to go back to work

that use to happen to me when i was younger.... from the age of like 6 to about 9... i would cry from like 11:58... when they started to count down till like 12:02.. lol i think it was the fact that i couldn't let go of things... and i was scared because the year would never happen again...

I was and still am like that! It is so scary to me! I know I have so much to look forward to, but it is stil hard for me to deal with years ending and all!
