Question - is it compeletly lame to just have cake as the dessert??

not at all. Most halls I feel have other little dessert items included in their packages but if it's not included in yours it's perfectly fine to just have the cake

Noooooo cake is the best.. honestly VH excites me cause I'm a sweets person, BUT I feel like it kind of downplays the cake, which is really the best part.. at the end of my sweets bing I'm usually thinking I wish I had another piece of wedding cake!!

We aren't have a VH hour. My hall doesn't offer it (they think it ends the party early), but you get a 2nd dessert along with your cake (like we are going to do chocolate molton lava cake). I think you can also do trays of cookies, etc on the tables but I'm not even sure we are going to do that.
