Design by Rose:Update at bottom!

I went to see my first florist today - Designs by Rose. . . and it was an amazing experience!

Rose and her mom are two of the nicest people ever!

Thank you Jenn and Jeanine for recommending her - it was awesome!!

Her flowers are AMAZING and the price was EXTREMELY reasonable!! Not only was it in my budget. . .but I kept adding things that I thought could never fit into my budget like flowers for the church and for our table at the RH

i love love love the bo-k that i picked out. . . funny thing is that my BM picked the same one when seh went!! can you tell we are best friends? we have the same taste! we also picked out the same every day china!

the CP's i picked out are SO DIFFERENT and cute i absolutely love them!

I have to go to another florist - a friend of FH's family, in a few weeks since they are expecting me. . . BUT i am almost definite I am picking Designs by Rose - I highly recommend them!

thanks matilde! Jesse's cousin owns a florist in Staten Island...so I want to check her out eventually but you if all three of you say Designs by Rose is amazing...why ruin a good thing? me and dana should go to her...

ok so here is what happened with the other florist

I will not mention the name bc it is a family friend - however he is no one you guys will be using. . . they are in Queens and a regular florist. . . .

anyways. . . .

on Wednesday I call and he is all excited we make an appt for Friday at 2pm. . . then he says to call to make sure he is there ( um, we jsut made an appt why wouldnt you be there)

Friday I call at 1:30 and say we are on our way, he says okay

we get there at 2:05 and ask for him, we are told he will be a few minutes. Then teh guy sees we are waiting and he says 'he will be back in a half hour!'

FH left work and I took a half day to come see him. . . and he isnt there? how messed up is that?

I felt bad mc FMIL was so excited for us to use him - but now she understands why we decided not to! we are not going back there

SO i have an appt on Wednesday with Designs by Rose, i am going to leave a deposit AND show my mom my choices ( i brought my sister the first time)

YAY! one more vendor will be done!!



ETA: Doris and Rose are so cute they wrote me back that they will be honored to be part of my wedding AND they cant wait to meet my mom!!!

I entirely admit to doing this whole thing backwards but at least I'm getting the little annoying things out of the way now! This way I don't have to stress anymore about how the hell I will afford to get what I want and what I might have to settle for.

I'll eventually get to those vendors. . .

edited to add: shopping for a dress was not the annoying part. I was referring to the favor shopping only. Going to write up my review about my favors now!

Matilde this is great to hear!! When I get to NY I want to make an appt to see her!! Her work looks great and I know she's done flowers at Russos before as well!! Good to see great things!!
