designer loft

anyone been to designer loft in nyc? any feedback?

my friend got her dress there. I went with her to her last fitting. My friend's dress came out great and they did a great job with alterations and she had a good experience. I do have to say when i went with her there was one bride that showed up very upset with them and arguing with them bc her dress was supposed to be ready that day but it wasnt and she had to leave to chicago where her wedding was taking place. So she went there demanding it. I dont know the whole story so dont know who was wrong or right.

i went there over the summer while i was shopping. it's less of the 'bridal shopping experience' than a kleinfeld type place. lots of dresses, small space, needles/pins covering the dressing room floor, etc. but the did have a good varierty and lots of different pricepoints. hth!

I went there several times and I had a great experience. Try to go during the weekday as they get crowded on weekends. Its got the small shop feel and its very quant. The prices are reasonable.

If you are going there, I suggest to check out one or two bridal stores if you can in the city as it is quite small!
