I think Kenneth Cole makes a super comfy shoe. I wound up buying Stuart Weitzman's and am contemplating exchanging them for KC's.
DSW sells a few wedding shoes from both designer's - especially the DSW in Nassau.
ETA: At a fraction of the cost. I paid $70 for my SW's and they retail for $210.

You should definately try Bridal Shoe Boutique on Old Counrty Road in Carle Place, that's where I got mine.
Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of them, but mine are about 2-2 1/2' heel, a closed shoe with a bow (crystal/rinestone) on the side and paid about $70.

Most of my friends who are former brides, say that buying designer shoes are not worth it, just to wear them once.
But getting dyeble shoes is a good idea..you get to wear them again

Re: Designer shoes worth it???
I recently bought my shoes, they are by Fenaroli and have a soft flexible genuine leather sole and are handmade. They are soooo comfy and so beautiful, well worth the $$$. I have a pair of Stuart Weitzman shoes (not bridal shoes) that are also super comfy. Shoes with really stiff soles that don't bend with me are always torture on my feet.

Here's a question.. total guy perspective...
OK.. You want everything to be the best for the wedding day.. undoubtedly.. but the thing with the shoes.. are the comfortable.. will anyone be able to even see them?
If not, get something stylish and afforable. No need to spend lots of $$$ of than.
Like I said.. just a guy point of view.

I like your line of thinking.. The 'i'm just a guy thing' keeps me out of trouble on here.. LOL
MY FW is like bringing a number of pairs of shoes with her.. including possible flip-flops. I'm not sure exactly how many or what style they may be.. Remember, just a guy....

Thanks for all the responses.
I am definitely trying DSW and Bridal Shoe Boutique this weekend. I'll let you know what I decide.
I love the guy perspective...the same words just came out of FI mouth What I told him was, that we spent a small fortune on this wedding and I would rather spend a little extra on the shoes if they will allow me to dance the night away.

Re: Designer shoes worth it???
Last time I was at the DSW on Jericho Turnpike (near East Northport/Dix Hills) they had some nice Kenneth Cole styles at a good price... hope you find something! That store is great but can be overwhelming... I remember that the bridal-type shoes were all the way on the right side of the store, against the wall.

I am the same way! No one will see them because of my dress and there is a good chance I will never wear them again! So therefore I am going for the best combo of price, look and comfort!

Don't forget that there will be pics of you walking down the aisle and getting out of the limo and sometimes photographers like to take pictures of feet walking. Get nice shoes, but don't break the bank. Find a middle ground.

Re: Designer shoes worth it???
And no one ever cares if the groom has comfy shoes or not.. no one ever asks about my shoes.. it's not fair... the groom can never take his shoes off at the wedding.. it's just so unfair.. hehe

Re: Designer shoes worth it???
Most guys I know pick comfy shoes. I think for the most part guys aren't slaves to fashion like women, so their clothing in general is comfy. How many guys do you know who wear pointy toe shoes?

You can try Rhea Nichols in Rockville Center. That is where I got mine and the prices weren't too bad and they had a pretty big selection for closed shoes. Thats what I wanted and found there - other places I looked I didnt see many closed shoes.
