Desperately need a Seamstress in Manhattan!

I was unhappy with my first 'fitting' and got the overwhelming feeling I should take my dress somewhere else. The fitting never actually happened becasue I did not have my shoes (my fault) but I sat there while one girl cried and another screamed because their dresses were a screwed up. I felt like I was treated poorly, and the customer service was seriously lacking. My mother turned to me and said 'Find somewhere else to take the dress!' FM me if you want the name of the place - I have never read any bad reviews re: fittings, but I a just going with my gut on this one.

I really need a reccomendation for a Bridal seamstress in Manhattan ASAP. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Thank You!

Re: Seamstress in Manhattan?

I'm using Ann Hamilton. She's in NOHO area. I've had 2 fittings so far and very happy with her.

Here's her website

Yikes! Fm me that place!

I might be going to Madame Paulette 212-980-6331, or G+G Cleaners 212-966-9813. I read about them in the Best of NY Magazine. Hope that helps!

Re: Desperately ned a Seamstress in Manhattan?

There is a woman on the UES-- her business is called Stitches by Sia-- you can find her # if you look her up on Verizon.com

She also does all the Jenny Yoo & Vera Wang BM dresses-- this is how I found her.

One of the ladies I met at the GTG got her dress made by a woman in Washington Heights. Her dress was GORGEOUS. FM me for more information.
