hey ladies!! I want a band so badly...but im afraid that it's not in our budget...if anyone would be willing, id LOVE to get some FM regarding pricing of bands?? I'd be very grateful :)
I think it goes without saying that I don't want a cheesy band that plays old music...but hey, you never know. lol

I don't know what your budget is but FH and I really wanted a band too but we ended up on agreeing to settle for a dj because the bands were just ridiculously priced. On top of that, you have to feed them!
umm i saw the seventies experience at a showcase but not sure how much they are. but they were really good and alot of fun

I'm using a DJ with live musicians. A percussionist and most likely a sax player.

If you make your minimum then usually you can feed the musicians at a discount.

We used renegade and it was $6200 for a 8 or 9 piece band the skyline orchestra bands were $4800 when I was looking in for 2005 and they are all really good. We choose renegade which was great (www.liparamount.com) because my husband really like him and he plays the guitar and sang a song to me that he wrote with the band--so it was important to him who we choose--but I thought the skyline orchestra bands were good too and reasonably priced compared to alot of other bands.

we are getting heart and soul... i think they are running between 5700 and 6000.. they play ALL stuff.. we just went to their showcase last wed... played all recent stuff thery were great!
it makes a difference in my opinion and well all in all my parents have the last say, but they are behind a band the entire way.

I am using Soul Revival. They played at a friends wedding and FH and I loved them! I will FM you what we are paying Their website is www.soulrevivalband.com They are great because they play all kinds of music, but we really love Stevie Wonder, so they were perfect for us

i heard peat moss is really good for a wedding - and that they were about 5k. I also saw Bravura at another wedding w/ sax and percussion. They were AMAZING. I think they might be on the expensive side though....

REALLY???? Dude seriously they're AWESOME!!!! I was at a wedding in Nov and they were a friggin HIT!!! My MOH is using them and her FH is a sound engineer/ music producer so yeah....they're good...see if they can HOOK IT UP!!!!!!

ive been looking a lot and anyone i felt was good was between 5500 and 6500 - like melanie said, if you make your minimum than the vendors are 1/3 the plate price
