hey ladies!! I want a band so badly...but im afraid that it's not in our budget...if anyone would be willing, id LOVE to get some FM regarding pricing of bands?? I'd be very grateful :)
I think it goes without saying that I don't want a cheesy band that plays old music...but hey, you never know. lol

skyline is amazing, but they are around 6000-6400
I just got married at the end of January and we had Skyline there (the band called Skyline, from Skyline Orchestras) and they were AWESOME! We paid $5800 - not sure if prices will be going up - we booked them nearly a year ago. We had a mix of ages there and they played music that worked for everyone. My husband, mom, MIL and I kept remarking how the band really made the entire evening. It's not cheap to have a band but it was really important to us and gave our wedding the special feel that we were looking for.
If you want a band I would so recommend cutting elsewhere if you can (flowers? smaller photo album? etc) to make it happen. But, it depends on what is most important to you. For us the most important thing was that everyone had a great time, which they did and I think the music helped. For others having AMAZING pictures is the most important - but we weren't interested in spending 10k on photos and cared more about music. Everyone has something different that really matters and my suggestion would be to pick the things that are most important to you and make them happen (if you can) and compromise elsewhere if you're willing.

Friday night I went to a bar for a farewell party and there was a live band playing. I had been to this bar many times and had never ever seen it so packed. It was because everyone knew that they (The Touch) were coming to play there. My friend's brother is having them at his wedding. They sounded great!!!!! It was as if the real artist was singing!!! I don't know what their rates are but I will attach their website. Definitely check it out. They have photos of weddings they have done...a list of venues they have worked in....
