Hello everyone, I was wondering if any of you out here in cyber world would have some information for me. I am not from the New York area and my finance is. He really wants to marry in New York but I am so fearful of the costs that New York brings with it. I have a question to ask all of you.....don't laugh because this might be a good one. I want to know if anyone knows of a nice facility to either hold a wedding and/or a reception for about $45 a plate. If you have any advice for me, please let me know, I look forward to responses and maybe even a few good laughs!

I booked at the holbrook country club. it was $56 pp for a Sat night in July, that included the ceremony, centerpieces etc.

JMO- the coral house is AWFUL!! and Stuart thomas manor has a GREAT all inclusive wedding package! Its on LI, nice place, AMAZING food, awsome price...good luckSTM

You are so right about this location. The website gives lots of information. How far of a drive do you think this would be from Brooklyn? Thanks for the tip!:

Try Manor East or Sunset Harbour. Their prices start pretty low, I think around the $40-45 range.

The Coral house is approx 60.00 pp in the off season and ranges between that price up to 89.00 including grat.. depending on the room.

And not to start a flamed post but the Coral house is not 'Awful' )please choose words carefully and by adding JMO does not make it Ok. ..if it were 'awful' there would not be a wedding everytime I go there (and I pass by there alot

Out of all of the halls my FH and I went to, Huntington Townhouse and Leonard's of Great Neck were two of the most reasonable.

I'd say check Manor East, Huntington Townhouse, Coral House, Ariana Waterfall and Westbury Manor ($55.00). I got quoted $55 at Westbury Manor but from January-March any day you want to do the wedding but I wasn't too crazy about the place.
In Queens, you can try Bruno's on the Boulevard. You should check places that you might like because Jan-Mar, you can definitely find good prices. Good Luck !!
