My friend is looking into having a destination wedding- has anyone done this? Where? IF not- what was your favorite island to visit? Where did you stay? Thanks so much for your help.

I didn't do a destination wedding, but my favorite islands to visit are Sanibel in Florida (I've heard good things about the Casa Ybel resort though I usually stay on Pine Island) and Anguilla, where I honeymooned. We stayed at Cap Juluca and there were actually a few couples there for their destination wedding. Hope this helps
When we were honeymooning in Aruba, we witnessed a wedding there and it was absolutely beautiful. It was right on the beach as the sun set. As we made our way back to the hotel, there was a long table set up for 18 guests for a sit down dinner. It was all white with aqua blue trim complete with chair covers. Anyway, this was all done on at the Renaissance Ocean suites. I was just recently on trip advisor and someone just posted her wedding pictures on that hotels review. I'll see if I can find the link for you.
I saw a wedding at Royal Hideaway while on my HM. It was beautiful!

I've been to one in St. Lucia (my friend rented a villa during the off-season and had the wedding at the house).
And, my SIL's in Nantucket at the White Elephant.

I went to a wedding at the Iberostar Riviera Maya, Mexico last April. One of my BMs was married. I included a pic taken on the beach there of her and her husband. It was a great trip; very nice resort. If you have kids its a great place for them. If you are looking for something excluding children this might not be the place-but I'm sure there are adult only resorts in the area.
