my best friend is getting married and was goign to mexico but has since changed her mind she wants a domestic destination wedding other then hawaii... can you please give me some recommendations for her to look into? also she wants to keep the cost down.. not budget wedding, but not expensive either..
i was thinking miami but thats really alot of money

I'm not sure price wise what it might be but maybe she'll want to look into places in California. They have some of the most amazing places, views, beaches I've ever seen. I try to head out there as much as I can, Southern Cal is the place to be!

Arizona....they have really nice weather most of the year I think. Hot but dry so it's not stifling. Also, what about San Diego....it's gooorgeous there and it's sunny and 75 like 10 months out of the year.

I was going to suggest Miami. We went to a beautiful one this past November. My friend was on a budget and she managed to make it work...let me know if you need details.

Arizona is beautiful (just not in the summer) Napa Valley The Keys Ft. Lauderdale (will def be cheaper than Miami) St. John's (US Virgin Island)

A friend of mine is doing a DW in New Orleans. They have some gorgeous old hotels in the french quarter.

I guess it really depends on what she’s looking for…my first thought for a destination wedding in the US would be something in the mountains, with rustic cabins and such, but it seems she’s more interested in something warm and tropical—am I right?

There are lots aof great beach front places in North and South Carolina. My college roommate got married in Charleston and the wedding was gorgeous.

Just to throw it out there.....Las Vegas. You don't have to have the cheesy Elvis drive through chapel. Some of the casino have really beautiful wedding chapels and package deals.

My FH wanted our wedding to be in Savannah, GA as that is where we got engaged. It's a beautiful city, has wonderful charm and great, friendly people, amazing parks which they call 'squares' with gorgeous fountains .... would have been lovely except I didn't want my family to have to travel since 85% of the people we are inviting live in NY.
Charleston is amazingly beautiful, too, and Myrtle Beach ain't too shabby either.
But my vote is definitely Savannah!

Key West. I went to a destination wedding there this past winter and it was great. They got married at the Southernmost Point Hotel, right on the beach. They had great weather, food was good. It was a great long weekend all around. If I wasn't on a budget, I would do it too.
