My DH puts cookies, chocolate and bread in the fridge immediately upon getting them. I tried to 'twist' apart my Oreo and it crumbled in my hands!! I could break a tooth on the chocolate and the bread tastes stale the next day! AHHHHH!!
I guess his Mom always put stuff in the fridge and my Mom didn't. Anyone else not like all that stuff in the fridge?

ooo I have to share a habit I BROKE my FH of: His family DEVOURS pizza. I mean, there's 3 of them in his house right now- and they order 2 pies. Even his mother will eat 3 slices. But anyway, when they're done, and IF there's any leftover, they'll stick the pizza on a tray (layered, with pieces of wax paper between them) and stuff it in the fridge....UNCOVERED! ew!!! And both of his parents regularly go to the fridge, pull out a cold, bacteria-laden slice, and swallow it whole- as a SNACK. ew! I hate even thinking of it!
I have such a good FH - he wraps/covers EVERYTHING!!!!

It must be - my DH LOVES putting chocolate in the freezer - I don't like that at all! Definitely not was good that way!

Really I don't.
I HATE a cold sandwich!
I understand chocolate to keep it from melting, but not cookies. I think it makes them soggy.

DH puts the peanut butter in the pantry & I grew up with it always in the fridge ... he it's a lot more than I do so I conceeded and we keep it in the pantry.

My dh puts bread in the fridge too!! It lasts longer, but I don't like the way it tastes either. I leave some out for myself and put the rest in the fridge for him.

OMG...thankfully my DH DOESN'T do this... I HATE when people put bread in the frig
My cousins in Florida did this and said that it would keep the bread fresh longer..

We have always put the bread in the fridge. I also put all my cookies, chocolate included in the fridge. I LOVE my m&m's in the freezer! I don't like them 'warm' anymore.

DH's mom puts syrup in the fridge. I put it in the cabinet. He makes fun of me. Cold syrup is AWFUL! It takes forever to come out, then your pancakes or waffles get ice cold! ICK.

My parents put bread in the fridge alone with peanut butter. Chocolate chips go in the freezer and a candy bar in the pantry cookies go in the cookie jar once opened.
My house all of the above goes in the pantry

I've grown up putting the bread in the fridge. DH thinks it's weird, but it lasts longer!
DH puts peanut butter in the fridge, and it drives me nuts, b/c it doesn't spread as well and rips the bread!
It's funny how we all grew up doing things in a certain way...you don't realize people do them differently until you're living with someone else.

I mean, I could understand the bread in the fridge thing if we lived in a really humid climate --- the bread would last much longer in the fridge...but here? I don't see it....
