DH is so sweet! (xpost NW)
(set-up is a little long but nice story ) :)
So Tuesday is my b-day and I had to be out of town last wknd for work - was down in Austin where I used to live and I had wanted DH to come down with me bc I decided to have a b-day party there on sat night with my old Austin friends but he couldn't bc of school/work. . and then of course on my b-day and every night until literally the 21st he is working or I'm away so I was so sad that my first b-day as a married couple the most we could get is an early breakfast together..
so after a work dinner on friday night - one of my friends & her hubby (GM and BM in our wedding) call and say let's go get a drink - they come by and pick me up at my hotel and I get in the back seat of their car and my hubby is there!!!! to surprise me!!!! Usually I totally know when he's going to surprise me but I had NOOOO idea! literally it took me a second to figure it out!
I was so touched! I really know how busy he is with last semester of grad school and TWO jobs so it meant so much - and it was so fun to have him in a place I used to live!!
