I heard this morning that starting Feb 1st in New York you are going to have to dial ALL 10 #'s when you want to make a call even if its next door. Do anyone know if its NYC or all of NY??

Well I called Verizon. Its NYC and 718 area code. 516 and 631 are not affected.

What a pain in the a**. I remember the good old days when I could dial between Nassau & Suffolk without the area code. I still forget lots of times and get wrong numbers.
