Diamond in Men's Wedding Band?

Is it common for a man to have a diamond in his wedding band? I am interested in getting this one:

but I don't want to get harrassed by friends/family/co-workers over the style.

FH only wanted a plain gold band but when we went out looking for them he fell in love with this
