Diamond white dress & bright white shirts?

My tux place recommended having my guys wear diamond white shirts to match my dress and avoid it looking 'dirty' by comparison. My dad looked at some tuxedo forums where the guys are saying it makes no difference with a jacket on.

What are your thoughts?
