I am so excited!! I ordered a gown!!! YIPPEE It's a Maggie and I ordered it in diamond white. Does anyone else have a diamond white gown? Will my FH have to find a diamond white shirt, tie and vest to wear with his tux? Do you know if this is difficult to find?? So many questions!

My Maggie is Diamond White too...I haven't a clue to the answer of any of your questions....but I also have Champagne in my dress too...so I might have an easier time finding something to match.
So which Maggie did you go with? I'm so excited for you!

I got the porsha lynette. Which did you get? The lady in the store told me that FH shouldn't wear white b/c it will look bad in pics.

No. When I tried my gown on, i held it up next to an ivory gown and could absolutly see the difference in color. Diamond whie seems to be just barely not white. It looked better with my skin tone because I am so fair.

Congrats on finding your dress! What a relief, right?
I've heard that a bright white shirt makes ivory look like a 'dirty white' so a lot of brides with ivory gowns have their grooms wear ivory shirts. Both show up white in pics, so it doesn't look awkward or muted at all.

Ignore the people at the store! They told me the same thing about Maggie dresses-and as you can tell my dress is NOT ivory by any means. It is white, DH wore white so dont worry too much about the color-you really cant tell the difference
If you are wearing Ivoy-and its more on the yellow side then consider going with an off white, egg shell shirt

I got Maggies Eleganza...pics in my album! I just looked at Pegaleg's photos from her wedding and she is right...you can't tell in pics.

Thanks so much for all of the advice ladies! I know my gown def. isn't ivory. I think I am going to lean more towards my FH wearing white. And you are right...in other girls pics, you can't tell the difference. It's so great having people to discuss this stuff with!

Diamond white is hard to explain. It's definatly NOT ivory by any means. Ivory looks yellow next to it. It's just kind of not white. lol. I am really fair skinned and the white gowns that I tried on made me look really washed out. The diamond white looked so much better on me. To be quite honest with you...in the pics that I have seen on here of girls that wore D.W, it looks like white.......but its not. lol

I am having a Maggie in Diamond White and I think it looks really white...not ivory at all. Maybe just my opinion..but I would never second guess FH wearing a white shirt.
