I heard the same so we got the diaper dekor instead.
But we need it down here in Florida. Our trash can is kept in our garage which is connected to our house and with the heat and humidty it is just easier for us to try one of these containers also it's just me and the baby at the begining so I don't think I'll have the time to run every diaper outside.
Alot of our friends recommended the dekor so hopefully we will love it.
I'll tell you in a few weeks how it works for us!

Honestly is a waste of money. I bought the diaper champ and now that my daughter is 8 months I rarely use anyways. jmo

I just bought scented diaper bags from Buy Buy Baby and bought a small waste basket and out it outside my front door, so that I could toss them outisde. I didn't want any of that smell in my house.

I have the diaper champ and like it. I mean of course dirty diapers will smell but you can keep them in there a day or so and they are ok. Makes it easy to dispose all at once rather than running each on outside for me. I like having it next to the changing table. Plus this one uses regular garbage bags which is cheaper and easier.

We have the Diaper Dekor Plus and like it so far. It holds a lot of diapers and there is no odor. Also, it has a foot pedal to open the lid so you don't have to touch the pail with your hands.

My son is 6 months old and I dont use it anymore. I think I used it for the first 2 maybe 3 months.

I didnt get it I didnt think it was worth it.
My sister got it ...used it for MAYBE 3 months and then stuck it in the attic
I throw out the 'main' house garbage every single day and rather just throw dirty diapers in there and no they get tossed everynight then have it sit in a pail in the babys room. - No smell or not.

I've heard so many people say they are a waste...I will not be registering for one. I will just throw out the dirty diapers in the regular garbage and take them out of the house.

Same here. I've used the diaper genie at friends houses and I did not like it at all. But I love the Diaper Dekor plus. As long as you change it every 2 days or so there aren't really any odors. And I love the foot pedal on it.

I love my Diaper Dekor and used it every single day for over a year. Now that Molly is older, the pail can't handle the true stink

I bought these bags at the baby expo, they sell them at BRU also, but they are not as good. The little blue ones that smell like baby poweder. Since I started putting her poop diapers in those before throwing them in the regular diaper pail I have, the smell is a lot better.
