The diary of a Long Island bride to be
Dear Diary,
Today we hit the one year mark. In 12 months I will be getting married. I can’t believe I’m going to be a long island bride. All my vendors have been booked…the photographer is great. The DJ is perfect. I’ve even found the RIGHT florist. Together we’ve decided to do all white roses. There is only one thing LEFT to do- I need to get my gown.
I don’t know what I want…strapless or sleeves…a-line or ball gown. Maybe I’ll hire a designer to make me a custom gown ..One that’s just RIGHT for me.
The only thing I know for a fact is that I couldn’t have done it without Long Island Weddings.com!
What a lifesaver that website is! Ron and Liz are the best and I’ve met so many other brides ….none of us are in our RIGHT minds RIGHT now. All this wedding stress has gotten to us.
Lady Princess is always posting smiling emoticons…She’s way too happy.
Junie20002 is a basket case…well since starting the basket secret Santa anyway.
PookiesAngel is always willing to help. Offering rides to the GTG for anyone who needs is. Darcy and I are room twins at Crest Hollow which is to the LEFT of Fox Hollow which is where ang& rich is celebrating. Azoodie is always changing her avatar pic…the one she has RIGHT now is of her and her FH but I like the farmer and his wife one better.
Well anyways there are a lot of fabulous ladies on the site…we come from all different backgrounds and we live ACROSS the country. Debsny is planning all the way from Virginia, Darcy is upstate NY. OVER the last year, I have used LIW to plan from the Hudson Valley. There are so many tips shared on the threads. Everything from dress shopping, to invitations- It goes ACROSS the board. Of course there’s drama from time to time- spoilsports whose goal is to take us RIGHT off track and stir the pot OVER and OVER again.
We always get caught up in it, but it’s only because we care and because we’ve made some real friends…friends who will be with us RIGHT until the end of our wedding planning days. After our big day, we know that we will still be on LIW…we have lots LEFT to talk about on the Newlywed and Not wedding related boards.
OK well I must get going now…there’s Lots LEFT to take of and lots more to RIGHT about with my fellow board fanatics!
Ya know…This LIW thing is ridiculed by our fiancé’s who call some of us addicts LEFT and RIGHT …but they don’t get it. There’s no way that meeting people and giving advice and having a shoulder to vent on can be wrong. It feels so RIGHT to log on everyday…have my FM pop RIGHT up and see what new on LIW!!
