Did any of you 06ers provide shuttle service for your oot guests?
We are looking into shuttle service to pick up drop off our guests staying in a hotel to and from the reception hall.
Wingate provides a shuttle for free only if 15 rooms are reserved- we may only end up reserving 10
anyhow just wondering if any of you provided shuttle service and if so how much did you pay and who did you use?

We were going to, but decided against it. We let family and friends know, through word of mouth, that cabs would be waiting outside if needed. Our hotels were only 3 miles away from the RH, so cab rides were only about $5 pp.

We did. We used Alert Bus and they were great. They have coach buses, school buses, every type of bus you can imagine. I also found them to be the cheapest.
Our hotel (Huntington Hilton) had a service, but only one van would be used. We had about 70 people take the bus to the reception and back again, a van would have taken way too long to get everyone back and forth.

Our hotel provided it as a cost with the hotel room each guest paid - $149/night.

I was going to but decided not to do it. Most of the people in the hotel were family or bridal party members. Everyone else car pooled for the 5 mile drive. It was too expensive and not worth it for us. Our guests were fine.

Same here. When I first began planning I thought it was something we should definitely do but then realized how much it was going to cost and how few people probably would have wound up using it.

ours was provided free because we had 40 rooms blocked. It was great!

We did. Our hotel didn't offer it but we got a bus. We had a lot of OOT guests.

Wingate in Garden City?? Thast who i used. We only booked i think 12 or so rooms and they threw in the shuttle anyway. See if theyll do it for you

we used the Huntington Hilton-- and had 2 vans to and from the church back to the hilton-- and for other guests that didnt book at the hilton-- they shuttled them to their hotel as well..

yes we used elite transportation- check my original wedding review- they were great

Our hotel had the same deal, book 15 rooms and it's free. We didn't have 15 rooms booked but we wanted to provide a shuttle anyway. So we used the hotel's service and paid $150.

We did, we used elite. Our guests definitely appreciated not having to drive.

My hotel offered it but it would of cost DH and I extra, so we didn't do it

We provided shuttle from hotel to church to hotel to reception and back. it put our mind at ease regarding the oot guests.
