Yeah this happened to us, I was sooo pisssed, especially because the last hour was the cigar roller. So i have 2 quick pictures that I made them take before they left, and they came out soo crappy! .. I was made that we already tipped them, because it was my understanding they would stay till the end of my reception... ohh and she still decided to take 2 of my cigars

it depends on how your contract is worded. our photog and video both stayed until the very end but did not come to our afterparty.

my friend got married 2 weeks before us and i think her photog stayed the whole night (i'm not sure) but her video left at 10pm and the reception ended at 11:30.

i consider 'complete reception' to mean complete reception. i think what they did was wrong. sorry

It depends on how your contract is worded.

Ours is by the hour, so try have to be there until the end, otherwise they'd be violating their contract. lol

Same here - mine is booked for '10 hours' - so I think mine is actually going to work from 8-6 ... which means he would leave 1/2 hour before the end of the party but I think that's ok with me. we are cutting our cake early - before dinner - so that it can come out after dinner with no holdups (cutting it for the guests takes a while and I would rather that be happening earlier, while dinner is being eaten, etc) so by 6:00 i think all the big moments will have happened...

They should've stayed until the end, it's not right that they left right after the cake.

Thanks for putting a post about this though, because now when I meet with my photographer before the wedding, I will make sure to address this issue ahead of time to avoid it from possibly happening at mine. This is something I would've never thought of because I just assumed they definitely stay until the end. My contract says until 1am (which is the end of my reception), so I'm going to inform them that it goes for both the photo and video, and I better not see that guy leaving anytime before that!

This is one of the nay reason I love Artisan they stay till the very end, VH included Chuck rocks

my photographer stayed until the end which was 1230am...

thats alittle odd...
