We want to insure our rings, but we do not think we should do it under our renter's insurance b/c they don't remain in the house. Did any one else do this?

we have my rings insured through Chubbs. A rider on your renters policy covers the rings whether they're in the house or not.

its so inexpensive to insure relative to the value of the ring, that its totally worth it...

it really is, and we want to ensure the entire set b/c they are platinum w/channel set diamonds. It actually makes me nervous sometimes to wear it to school & such, I can't even imagine what a wreck I'll be when I have the whole set!

You need to insure your ring - tell him that he won't be happy if he has to pay to replace a stone b.c he skipped on the insurance.
It does not have to stay in the apt to be insured. i have it with my renters insurance thru allstate

I used jewelers mutual and so did a Partner in the firm. definietly worth it. not that expensive. they have a website. http://www.jewelersmutual.com
