a gift.. after he proposed??

Ive been engaged for a yr n 1/2 n recently found out that sometimes u give him a gift to recipricate for the ring.. hmm..

I decided to start saving n i think im going to get him a really nice watch to wear on the big day.. i know NOTHING about mens watches n he is very picky..er...

any suggestions?

I got my FH tix to the Giants vs Dallas game as an engagement gift, but I know a lot of people who didn't get their FH anything. It's totally up to you.

As for watches, Movados are gorgeous but pricey!

FH proposed right before Chanukah (ring was my gift) so i gave him his gift too (which was a 12 string guitar)

Whats your budget? Movado has several classy&sporty designs. Check out Tag Heuer (sporty), Raymond Weill (classic) or Rado (timeless designs). Movado is the cheaper in this lot. If you wanna spend more, check Omega, Cartier, Baume&Mercer...i could go on and on...

I didn't get him an engagement gift. I didn't know I was supposed to (oops lol). I felt bad though b/c we got engaged in November and money was tight for me ( my old gym STOLE a large amount of money from me the day before we got engaged and didn't give it back until a few days before Christmas) so I went a bit cheap on FH's christmas gift (compared to what I usually spend).

But I am trying to make up for it with a wedding gift (FH didn't know we were supposed to get each other wedding gifts ). I am taking bpics and making him an album and getting him a grooms cake and I want to get him something else, I'm just not sure what yet. I was thinking Yankee tickets but we have plans almost every weekend until after our HM. FH has been in a few bad accidents and also broke his leg last yr so he always has back/hip/leg pain- I was thinking of getting him a massage at a nice spa a day or 2 before the wedding. But we are planning on getting couples massages on our HM- plus I'm the one who has all the stress before the wedding- he just needs to rent a tux and show up! lol

hahah soo true we r the ones who need the massages.. i like the grooms cake idea but when is it for the wedding or rehearsal dinner i hear ppl who do both

I m starting to save now n hope i will be able to spend about 2000-2500 maybe 3000.. want something really nice, maybe two tone if he goes with a two tone wedding band..

I got him a watch but we went shopping together and it was really fun. . he's kind of picky about that thing too so it worked out. . I took him to lunch and watch shopping!

i got him a mont blanc pen he wanted.

Watches....tag heuer, movado, omega (nice, but expensive), seiko

I surprised him and sent him away with a bunch of his friends. He thought he wasn't going.

Tag Hauer are soo nice, and very classic :)

I did... I bought him a really nice watch..

and had it engraved with 'At last...'

He was surprised and loved it.
