did anybody take valium on their wedding day

i don't mean to crash ... but i was thinking of taking valium on my wedding day.

i am a very nervous person by nature AND hate being the center of attention. no matter what anybody tells me i know i will be a neourotic.

however, i do want to remember my wedding day & not having any serious side effects (sleepy, nauseous).

right now its just a thought

thanks !!

No... but I also don't get nervous for anything and actually enjoy being the center of attention

BUT I would realllllllllllllly recommend u don't take that for your wedding day because there are so many awesome things to enjoy that you don't want anything that could interfere with that... you wanna be completely yourself!

Just something I noticed.... DH and I never once noticed how many people were there until after the first dance because you're sooooooooo busy and you really just don't have the time to be nervous or anxious! You'll be having SO much fun you won't even realize what's going on till after the big stuff is over, and going down the aisle, I only saw DH... no one else

I've taken valium a lot - everytime I fly, actually. I would NOT recommend doing it on your wedding day. It makes you feel a little bit out of it, and if you drank anything while taking it, you'd be really messed up.

FH and I flew down to Cancun with his family, and I took one before the flight and another about midway there. We landed, went to the hotel, hung out and then went to dinner. Several hours (like 6 or 7) had passed and I totally forgot I had even taken it. I had one daquiri at dinner and I was incoherently 'drunk.' FH had to bring me back to the room early. Then, it turned out our AC didn't work and we needed to relocate, but FH couldn't get me out of bed, so he had to stand me up and carry me into the other room.

So yeah - would NOT recommend it. Even if you don't plan on drinking, I think you probably want to be 'all there' to enjoy your day.
