Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

So we booked venue/dj/photog all about 2 years out and have kind of hit a planning lull so since I'm on school break another 3 weeks thought I'd get back into it. Have any of you booked a DOC yet? Do you think it's too early to book?
Also, does anyone have any recommendations or price quotes they want to share?

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I just got married in october and booked my day of coordinator a year and a half in advance. They seem to book fast and a lot won't do more than 1 wedding a day. I used mine also to help in some of my planning and she was so helpful, attentive and creative that I was so glad to have her for almost my entire planning time. I used Elite Glamour Events and the owner Lindsey was available anytime I needed her for recommendations, referrals and advice from the moment I signed with her. Having a DOC early is my recommendation because you can pick their brain and really get to know them. I can't say enough about how much I loved working with her.

Do you ladies think it's worth it? I'm all for it but FI is really against it so I need to convince him.

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I absolutely think its worth it and my DH who was my FH thought it wasn't worth it until during my planning he saw how much help/assistance and calming my DOC did for me. Then when my wedding was over he said how much they did and how it was one of the best vendors we had! Def a must in my opinion.

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I booked Laura at A Modern Day Affair about a year and a half in advance. FH was like whatever when it came to it. My MOH told me I didn't need it. I did it for two main reasons: 1) I don't want to fight with my mother the days leading up to and including my wedding. We both get stressed easily and tend to yell and whatnot, so having someone else there that can calm both of us down is a HUGE help. and 2) I want everyone to enjoy the wedding - FH, myself, our parents, and our BP. I feel like if I put my MOH or BMs in charge of something, it's taking away from their experience.

Definitely get in touch with A Modern Day Affair - their prices are more than fair and Laura has been a doll thus far.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about Cheeky Glam! I don't have any prices for you, but I've heard they're pretty reasonable. I would definitely suggest contacting them

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

We booked Cheeky Glam just about 2 years out from our wedding. They are amazing even before I booked them they were more than helpful steering me in the right direction and letting me know their professional opinion. They really are worth it. My FH wasn't at first when I said I wanted to book them. Then we met with them and he was like no they are amazing book them. We just had a photog appt last week and they met us there. They get copies of the same paperwork we get and keep it on file I didn't even have to ask any questions cause they did that for me they set the appointment up I truly feel I will enjoy the wedding planning procedure so much more now that I have them and won't be stressed. I have been stressed free since we met with them. I definitely recommend meeting with them they do book fast.

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I am booked with Cheeky Glam Events, and I have to tell you it is the best decision I have ever made. They are not just my DOC but they are my voice of reason, decision making help, and have helped me put this vision in my head together. If you need help convincing FH all he has to do is meet them and he will be sold. These ladies were strangers when I first met with them and when they said they wanted me to feel like they were a friend by my wedding, i have to tell you that they have achived my trust and more. When my vendors ask for a cotnact number for the day of my wedding i give Cheeky Glam's so i do not need to worry about a thing.
The professionalism and dedication they have for the brides they work with is more then you could ever expect, ask for, or believe will happen.
If nothing else meet with them, and bring FH they are the brain of your wedding day!

HTH! Good Luck!

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I'm booked with Cheeky Glam for full event planning. If it wasn't for them, I dont think I would have ANYTHING booked. There aren't enough words to describe them. If I didn't book them for full planning I would have hands down used them for DOC. My FH loves both Heather and Jamie as well and always says 'Did you ask the Cheeky girls for their advice?'

love love love!

I haven't booked a DOC because I just don't quite get the purpose. Can someone fill me in? The venue is giving us someone that will be hands on the whole day, isn't that good enough? Confused..

I'm a Cheeky Bride too!! Loved them, fiancé does not know that I booked them though haha. He was good with it after our engagement party seeing how between saying hello to everyone and everyone asking questions and wanting to take pictures. I couldn't imagine doing that and dealing with everything with the food and setup his step mom took care of and he agreed. Money is tight but I think it's totally worth it. I booked the smallest package and you can always upgrade!

Did anyone book a day of coordinator yet?

I can only give a recommendation based on my sisters wedding and what she did. My sister got married a couple of years ago and she used a company to help her plan only some things and to DOC her wedding. The company she used was Elite Glamour Events and I saw first hand (I was her MOH) how much stress they relieved from not only her but me too! Lol I can't book my DOC yet because I don't have my venue or date and am now getting nervous that if I choose a date she may not be available.....crossing my fingers because all I can say is she was amazing!

The venue's coordinator, while helpful, is there for the venue's best interest and not yours! You'd want someone who can advocate for you, should something come up. Plus what about before, during the ceremony? I want to be relaxed and not worrying about everyone and everything! My coordinator is also providing me with my own personal bride assistant and FH will have his personal assistant also. Your DOC will also make your day of schedule and make sure you keep on time. It's worth it!

I'm such an advocate for my coordinator because she's so great, I'm sure she'll be more than fair if I refer someone to her! I don't think it will hurt to at least inquire some info.
