Did anyone cancel the bathroom attendant?

Original post by nov2004bride

Flowerfield has a bathroom attendent. I am a little uneasy about this I personally do not like when I go to an event and there is a attendant in the bathroom. I feel like I have to tip her or somethingDoes anyone else feel this way? Thanks for all your opinions in advance

Do you think I can cancel this service?

My wedding is catered by Lovin Oven as well. Our bathroom attendant is only checking in every 20 minutes just to make sure everything is orderly.
Maybe you can ask your hall to do the same. This way guests probably won't see her, so they won't feel the need to tip.

I would DEF get an attendant!! are you crazy?

Crazy? No!! Just asking for opinions. I don't think if you don't have an attendent makes you crazy!!

I didn't mean it like that! I meant, that you should DEF have one! forget about the tip thing.. people are used to it.. but you need someone to make sure it's clean and what not.. you know?

I wouldn't cancel, just tip her before hand and ask her to put her little basket away and to not accept tips.

For the girls that did take care of the gratuities for the bathroom attendant - how much did you give?

no.. I'm sorry to have mislead you !

also, there's been times when I've needed the attendant.. once my hair fell out and another time my aunt's dress became unhemmed.. they were soo useful!!!

See it bothers me sometimes to have one but then in defense of the attendant---
My dress slit RIPPED unbelievably where it became, uh, indecent.
The BR attendant didn't skip a beat- whipped out the sewing kit and did a great job.

As the other girls said- tip her before hand, but I would keep her.

We don't have a woman that stays in the ladies' room all the time. She just goes in every so often to clean up, refill the paper towels, make sure everything is in order, etc. I like it that way - it won't get messy but there's no one sitting in there all the time either.
