Did anyone do their own

Did anyone do their own STd's, and invitations, and if so can you give me some ideas.

we did a std magnet and an amazing invite

my dh is a graphic designer


the biggest problem we had was getting someone to print it and designing to the size of the envelope


we did find a place to do thermography invites (up to 3 colors)


most of the big printing places he works with won't even turn their printing presses on for 100 invites


but otherwise it was a great expirence and we got just what we wanted

I made my own STDs and programs. For the STDs, we also did a magent. I used a computer program I already had to make greeting cards, since it had a section where you could make business cards. I got blank business cards from Staples and then got precut business card sized magents from www.magnetvalleyusa.com. they had adhesive strips that I peeled off and stuck the cards on.

The programs were made with one of those kits from Michaels - they also make the invitation kits. I thought about making the invitations too, but thought it would be too stressful. After making the programs with the kit, I think the invitations definitely would have been doable.
