Nope. Because I know no one is going to buy it Actually, FH was the one that keep saying..add this add that..and I kept telling him, 'No one is going to buy us that' and he would say 'You never know it doesnt hurt to try' hehe..so there are about 2 items on my registry that are a lot of $$$$

I felt really greedy.

In the end, I didn't register for anything REALLY expensive because I feared people saying 'who the hell does she think she is asking for a $xxxx vase?', etc. I kept my registry relatively affordable. There were a few luxury items but not many.

I did, when we went to register at BBB, they told us told put 250 items on our registry
Our relatives would laugh at us if we did that!
But we did put some expensive stuff on there, like a bed set for $300, if no on ebuys it then we get it at a discounted price ...so it's all good
We ended up putting about 70 items on it I think

I know how you feel. I didn't want to register at all for that reason. But guests expect a registry, so that's why I feel alright about it. The expensive things are just part of a wish list. I don't think anyone is going to judge you for putting expensive items on your list. It's your wedding, they expect it!

I feel guilty too...but everyone is telling me to register for the pricey items so that makes me feel better and I keep adding things to my registry.

we felt it was just our 'wish list' so we had fun with it. but we made sure we had a wide price range. also it's good to have some more exspensive items for the people who want to get you something nice and they buy you and your FH a group gift -- like co-workers for example.

we figured anything we didn't get and still wanted after the wedding we'd get the discount on too

Sometimes I do. I guess more because I know people that are invited to my shower/wedding have made comments about past registries that they have had to buy things off of. I know people are going to make comments about some of my more pricey items. Sometimes I feel guilty and decide to look for something else.

To be honest, I did not feel guilty about registering for things that were expensive. I made sure that I had selected items for every price range. The more expensive gifts I figured could either be bought as a group gift or not at all. We are young and need EVERYTHING so the fact that I wanted to register for pots and pans that are are of good quality (and therefore slightly more expensive than ones that will barely last a year) is my choice and you can always choose not to buy them for me.

I didn't feel guilty or greedy while registering. We picked a wide range of items some pricey, some cheap, some mid-range. What does make me feel guilty is when I check the registry and I get mad and say 'damn why hasn't anyone got the bedding yet' or 'why hasn't anyone got the luggage set yet' umm bc they are expensive that's why I try to keep myself in-check.

Dont feel guilty. I did a few bigger item like cutlery which was expensive but normally a few people will chip in or a close family member will buy it for you.

I didn't go overboard but I think a couple of things are perfectly acceptable.. because I think mine looks pretty similar to ones I've seen in the past.
Also some people might want to buy a joint gift.
Maybe an Aunt and cousin will go in on it together to get you something you really like. I've done that before.

You shouldn't feel guilty becuase at a lot of stores you usually have the chance to purchase things after your wedding at a discounted price...

I think at Fortunoff's they give you one chance to get a 20% discount after the wedding... so FH and I registered for things that we knew people wouldn't buy for us but that we would purchase after the wedding date with the discount!

I really didn't put anything too outrageous on my registry.

I did feel guilty if an item was over a certain price, but my FH kept telling me not to worry if something was too expensive then a couple of people would chip in and get it for us.

I think I felt bad, b/c people work hard for their money...But the way I look at it is that you can put things on the registry but that does not mean people are going to by it.

As long as you have a wide variety of items at different price levels don't feel bad about adding some expensive stuff. But if all your items are expensive you may force people to buy stuff off your registry that you really don't want or need.

I didn't feel guilty putting some expensive things on, basically my luggage and a few fun kitchen appliances, but i had stuff in every possible price range and so there were things that any type of person could buy. I really think you need to give a range...sometimes people chip in and you want to make sure there is something that can accomodate that.
