Did anyone else feel this way???

Did anyone else feel this way???

I was a little depressed after our wedding, not for any other reason than the fact that I was so sad it was all over and I wanted to relive it over and over. I hardly got to enjoy it much because of picture taking, but I know that's the norm. There were so many pictures I wanted to take, but never got to take them. Things I wanted to change about the day or do or even just enjoy the day more. I really felt like I was in a dream all day...it didn't seem real. It went by like a blur. I still find myself missing it a lot, and can't wait to get all my pictures and video back to relive it through that. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my day tremendously, and everyone that was there had an amazing time, I just miss it I guess. LOL Anyone else feel this way after?

Elisa,
We felt like that a little. We wish we had more time at 'Our Wedding'. It's was so beautiful but the photographs were so time consuming. When we came home from the HM my brother and his future wife gave us a album with wedding photographs they took. We love it because we were able to relive our wedding day. We totally understand how you are feeling.

Hmm still reeling and haven't even finished unpacking yet. Plus I have had some girls inquire about banners and aisle runners so I might still be making wedding related items!

I think thats normal if you have specific expectations of how the day should be..
I look back & wish we had more slow dances or different music during dinner...more pictures with my friends etc...
Considering that you spend an entire year of your life planning this one day...it's understandable to be a little depressed when it's over. What the heck do we do with all of our free time now? lol

I know exactly how you feel. I felt the same way. After nearly two years of planning and stress. I loved my wedding and it was just so surreal. I could not believe how quickly it ended. I must say that I was fortunate becuase I did get to enjoy the dancing and spending time with my family and friends because my photographer made sure to limit the amount spent taking photos, but I missed out of gorbeous posed shots because of it. DH and I both did not even get to try our food because we were just so busy, but all in all it was terrific. I was severly depressed after the day and HM because DH and I were again apart since I will remain in Philly until March and he in Miami. But I must say I am so happy that I decided to go for video, because I get to relive the experience over and over again and see all the things that were such a blur to me the day of.
Thank You Jose and Jack!!!!- Halo Video

I still feel that way.. I totally understand where you are coming from.. I think this feeling is going to stay with me for a while... I have one more wedding to go to this year and then my cousin and a good friend of the family just got engaged and that means more weddings next year!

I miss my wedding day and I wish I could do it all over again... just leave out the year of planning..

totally normal--its okay to be a little sad. we spend alllllll this time prepping for the big day--and then we don't prepare ourselves for how it will be afterwards.

Yup and I enjoyed the hell out of our wedding! I want to go back and change little things but when I think about it-the day was perfect (even with what went wrong) and I love my hubby. Its all a blur!
I wish I could go back to planning but I am glad that all that stress is over.
It gets easier over time-you start to let go realizing that really you wouldnt have wanted it any other way
