Did anyone ever feel 'funky' after a flu shot?

My company was offering flu shots if you had special circumstances and since I had a baby in the house, I'm elgible. I had the shot today and I feel, weird??? Like all tingly all over and sort of in a fog...like I had a few drinks. At first I thought I was having a heart attack because of the heat/tingling in my limbs, feet, legs, etc. But I feel sort of dizzy. Is this normal??? I never had one before.

I had a flu shot before and I remember feeling tired and achy and my arm hurt where I got the shot.

I think (and medical people can tell me if I'm wrong) that they inject you with a really weak strain of the flu, so your immune system can fight it off easily and then make antibodies, making you sort of immune to the flu. So, it might be your body reacting to the flu and fighting it. If you still feel bad maybe call your doctor or a pharmacist.

Take a benedryl and call your doc... you could be having an allergic reaction.

I never had a problem; I would call the dr. Are you allergic to eggs? I know they cultivate the vaccine in eggs somehow...

I've had the flu shot before, and aside from my arm aching and feeling a bit tired maybe, I've never had the syptoms you've described. It doesn't sound normal of the reaction I've heard people getting from the flu shot

If it doesnt get any better soon, I also would recommend calling your doctor to see what they say or going to the ER(worst case scenario)

Feel better soon!

Working for health insurance and quizzing Dr's, I can tell you honestly that you should not feel ANYTHING AT ALL after the shot...people who say they felt sick after are having psychosomatic symptoms because the flu vaccine does not have any flu antibodies in it, meaning you cannot get sick from it like other vaccines. If the feelings last more the 24 hours , you have a rash or feel lightheaded, like someone said, take a benadryl and call the dr.
