Memory Candles? And if so, how? I thought if we made them instead, it would be more personal.

Re: Did anyone ever make their own.....
I did. I bought a regular pillar candle. Then I printed the memory saying and my mom's name on vellum. I attached the vellum to the candle with double sided tape and used ribbon to hide the seams and tape. I hot glued the ribbon to the vellum. Here is the saying:
This light shines for my mother Donna Who is in our hearts on our Wedding Day and always To bless us in spirit As we begin our life together
you could just change the name to fit the person the candle is for.

Thanks so much. I have to try it. Buying them online is so expensive and my Fh wants individual candles one for his Grandpa, 1 for my grandparents and then one for my Mom. What is vellum?

Vellum is a type of paper that you can print on a printer. It is sort of see through. You can get it at staples.

I did a small picture frame saying something to the effect of in memory of those who make us who we are today and then did a bunch of photos and a couple of small candles. This was laid out on top of the piano at the cocktail hour and it was so beautiful.

Check out Jennandrolo's review in the Brides Review chat. She did a lot of stuff DIY including memory candles.
When I looked at them, she inspired me to do them myself. HTH
