Did you crave for anything out of the ordinary and at wierd hours?

I can't say my cravings were weird in the 'pickles and ice cream' sense but they were weird for me. I'd crave something and HAVE TO have it. Sometimes I'd have something for a few days in a row (like tuna melts which never ever appealed to me before-or since) and other times I'd have the craved food once and be satisfied. One night all of a sudden I wanted a matzo bread with a slice of swiss cheese-the onion type matzo that they sell year round-I broke it in half and layed a slice of swiss cheese between the halves and ate it like a sandwich. LOL, DH thought I was nuts, I was very very specific about how I wanted it. The day before I went into labor I baked a huge casserole of custard rice pudding and ate the thing for every meal until it was gone - about 1 1/2 days worth. Hmmmn, what else...I forget but suffice to say there were a few others that I found quite amusing. Really the funniest part was the obsession to have it when the craving arose. Oh, someone in passing mentioned mint chocolate chip ice cream and I ate that for a few nights straight till I got sick of it. It had to be from Baskin Robbins with the shaved chocolate not the chunks, I had to eat it with a tablespoon...ah the memories...

Elizabeth, I am LMAO!!! You are cracking me up b/c I remember my cravings being the same way - if I wanted it, than I had to HAVE RIGHT THEN!!! It's SO TRUE!!

Okay, I remember craving Skor bars one night, and hubby went crazy trying to find one for me. I also had to have sugar cookies once, and a raspberry linzer tart another day. I craved ANYTHING grapefruit or blueberry throughout my pregnancy - I practically lived on Post Blueberry Morning cereal and Starbuck's blueberry scones. And cinnamon - Cinnamon Oat Squares were a staple. Tunafish salad was another BIG craving at lunchtime mostly, but that might have been b/c none of the lunch meats in the company cafe appealed to me.

I hungered and craved for sushi throughout my pregnancy and was in sheer agony that I couldn't have it! I also specifically craved the sesame seed seared Hawaiian Ahi with garlic smashed and wasabi ginger sauce from the seaford restaurant down the block. Hmmm....now I'm getting hungry...

I was surprised at how little I craved chocolate during my pregnancy b/c I'm usually a chocoholic!

I can completely relate to the 'I need it NOW!!!' craving syndrome.
The other day, Mike and I were about to cook dinner and I saw a commercial for those new buffalo chicken fingers at Arby's....well, I didn't CARE that Arby's was a 30 minute drive away!! (I live upstate) I needed them right then and there! :) I have also been craving jalapeno peppers, green olives and hot chicken wings...spicy!
And, in the very beginning, when I was nauseous often, I could only eat BLT's.
On the other end, there are now some foods that I cannot go NEAR, such as eggs (bleh!!). It's so odd.

I am not PG but the weirdest craving i have ever heard was my Dh's mother... She ate coffee beans while preggo with my DH....yuck!! LOL

My biggest cravings were Entermans powdered donughts, jelly beans & for lunch I mostly ate Blimpies pepperoni w/ a slice of provolone w/ little mustard pickle on the side.

I couldn't eat mashed potatoes for the first 3 months. (That was a killer for me) I mostly knew what I couldn't eat. MY FH would suggest something & I turn green!

No wierd cravings...just had to eat it NOW!
Every workday morning I need to have 2 scrambled eggs w/ cheese on a toasted bagel. A big breakfast for someone who loves to have just cereal.
Have had shrimp salad sandwiches at least 1x a week for lunch.

More cravings for beef than chicken.

The main thing I've been craving is carbohydrates-ANY and ALL carbs!! It's the only thing that fills me up. I used to eat chicken 5 times a week and now I can't even stand the thought of it. I totally agree with the 'have to have it NOW or else' thing too! I've also craved canned peaches and salty foods.

When I was prego it was BBQ sauce and cinnamon... not together though cause that would be gross.
