Did anyone have a GOOD experience with alterations?
With all of the negative posts regarding seamstresses and alterations at these bridal salons, I was wondering where anyone had a good experience? That's the most important part, IMO. I'm going to start looking for my dress and I am really trying to avoid any headaches so I've already ruled out some places that seem to have excessive amounts of complaints. Does anyone have any raves about a particular place when it came to the alterations?

I had the *best* experience with my alterations, a woman named Svetlana at Priscilla of Boston in Roslyn Heights.
My dress was originally a sample dress- I didn't care because I got it at $400.00 when the original price was $4000.00. The only problem was that the dress was about three sizes too big.
Svetlana made it fit like a dream. I went back three times so that she could 'tweak' it a little bit, and that was because *she* wanted to, I thought it was gorgeous the first time!!
I don't know if she does outside alterations, but you could try.
She was beyond nice, to boot.

I actually had an amazing experience with Maria from David's Bridal. She has done an UNBELIEVEABLE job with my dress!! And she's super funny and sweet and reassures you that 'it's going to be all right' all the time
I had a great time with her!!

I actually had an amazing experience with Maria from David's Bridal. She has done an UNBELIEVEABLE job with my dress!! And she's super funny and sweet and reassures you that 'it's going to be all right' all the time
I had a great time with her!!
I have to keep Maria in mind. I have to make an appointment in January ( I still have alot of time) My consulant was Alicia she was adorable. I felt so comfortable with her. Even though she had 5 other birdes she ws helping, she STILL made me feel like I was the ONLY ONE. I never felt Rushed!! I'll have to ask for Maria!!!
