We had a guest tell us at the wedding that she accidentally got an anniversary card, so she needed to go to the store after the wedding and mail us the 'real' card. Still waiting. I just wished she hadn't said anything.

I haven't but I now I will...

one of my Aunts doesn't have much money, and she wasn't going to come because of it, so we told her to come with out a gift...

but my FHs cousin went to FSIL's wedding and didn't bring a gift adn to this day says oh I still have it at home i will give it to you next time...

We just got their RSVP it was a NO FH is very happy.... They are now officailly written off..

Evven my FMIL wrote them off.

yes... and i was disappointed that i didn't even get a card bc they were from people very close to me. it's not about the gift to me, it's about the sentiment. two of the people were in our BP -- it makes me sad they couldn't take the time to get us a card at a drug store and write us a nice message on what was the most important day of our life thus far!

we had someone give us a card and it said sorry times are rough. But we knew that so we werent epecting anything. But I am happy that we got a card from them

We certainly did. Didn't matter at all....seeing them there meant more than a gift ever could.

i appreciate that. i don't appreciate the no-shows or those that came asked if they could bring someone, were told yes and then they didn't show up or give us a card. I think that's really inconsiderate and taking advantage. We don't expect them to 'cover' their expenses etc. but we don't expect to take a loss for people they invited and then didn't show. To me, that's wrong. Sorry, its fresh so i'm bitter
