We are going to do hershey hugs. I bought personalized wrappers from ebay with our names and date on them. I am going to put about 6 hugs in a little embosses box and then tie it up with a red ribbon which also has our name and date on them. I got the ribbon and boxes at Patchogue Floral. I am giving one per person. I am also going to have picture frame placecard holders which will be one per couple.

Yep. I made little boxes of chocolate hearts (got the boxes on ebay, and ordered the candy from candywarehouse.com). I also wrapped up little bottles of champagne in tulle and wedding bells. Everything was a hit.

Re: Did anyone make their favor (beside CDs)
I spent this past summer making fabric circles for champagne bottles. We are using the 375 ml. size. I found a stiff fabric that is somewhat sheer. It's much nicer than the tuile fabric they sell. I cut large circles and sewed a tight zigzag around the perimeter encasing a plastic wire. When the champagne bottle is placed in the center and the fabric is brought up and tied at the neck, it makes a ruffle on the top. We are attaching a chrome bottle stopper and tieing a bow with a beautiful ribbon, and having the printed ribbon hang down. Gee, I hope this makes sense. It really looks amazing.
Good topic. I love reading what everyone else makes.

I am painting 3' terra cotta pots & Saucers. They will be done with lavander milk paint, then a bow tied around like the pic. (I will not be doing the gold writing). Then I am making a tag with a poem, our names and date & tieing that to the bow. I am ordering flower seeds in bulk, and putting them in envelopes inside the terra cotta pots. I will be doing one per couple. I am also decorating place card picture frames. One per couple.

i made sand dollar ornaments (beach theme wedding). I bought the sand dollars from fantasyland in patchogue and painted on a mix of glue and water to harden them. Then I placed 'bows' with our names and date on it and strung a ribbon through the two top holes to make them 'hang'. In the middle of the bow i put a small sea shell. I placed them in small organza bags with little note cards i made with info about what a sand dollar is and the 'legend' of them. I also gave out little bags of homemade chocolate sea shell candies w/ jordan almonds.
