I feel very 'out of my element' with this pregnancy. I HATE the fear of the unknown and that is what everyday is like waking up for me. I am very nervous all the time. Like everyday I wake up and think 'am I going to be sick today? Will I be tired? How am I gonna do this?' I am VERY happy to be PG and look forward to having a child...BUT not sure I like the physical part of it. I'm only 7 weeks, so I have a long road ahead and may think differently tomorrow...OR my hormones are raging right now!!! I don't think I've gotten over my 'fear' yet.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
First trimester is the worst -- so many symptoms with so few positives. Once you start showing (and get lots of nice comments from people) and the baby starts kicking, this pregnancy thing becomes a lot more fun!

yeah, and then you start getting shortness of breath, growing pains, back pains, leg cramps and all the other lovely simptoms!
Let's face it pregnancy is no picnic no matter which trimester! So, far, the only month when I felt great was the 4th. It goes downhill form there!
But hey, it's all worth it!

I definately did NOT like being pregnant. I enjoyed the actual birth, but disliked everything leading up to it! I am hoping to get pregnant again late summer...but I am dreading it!

Honestly, being pregnant isn't what I thought it was going to be. I always thought I was going to love it but I really don't. However, I can't wait to be a mommy and to see DH become a dad so I know all the hormones, aches, pains, nauseau, etc will be worth it.

I have been feeling EXACTLY the same way (and I'm a little behind you). I have been feeling queasy and a bit off lately and I too have a fear of the unknown in the months ahead. We haven't told anyone yet so I'm hoping all of the excitment from everyone when we tell them will help ease my pain (and fear)

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
I have not had an easy time MS really bad and still happening at almost 24 weeks. I have already ended up in labor and delivery with contractions (very scary) now with the growing pains I am in agony.
What can I say I am cherishing every minute. Even the minutes that are really hard. I know how lucky we are to have been able to easily conceive a child and all seems to be healthy and perfect with it. Everytime I feel this baby move and get to see Matt light up when he can feel it kick I am reminded why I have to go through this.
I will be better prepared next time. The uncertainty is hard.
I hoe you start to feel better about it. You have a ways to go and some things get worse and others better.

Honestly... so far I can't say that I am thrilled with pregnancy. I'm only 15 wks and even though I think I've had it pretty easy in relation to others, it's still just not really what I thought it would be.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
This is my 3rd pregnancy and I LOVE being pregnant. I don't like the first 2 weeks home with a newborn, that is the REALLY scary part. I don't like gaining weight and I don't love the other symptoms, but I really feel so happy when I'm pregnant. A bad day turns bright when in the end I remember I'm pregnant. I totally understand where you;re coming from though, hang in there, you'll have your ups and downs.

I loveed being pregnant. it was my first and honesty is was the best. no morning sickness, no nausea, no nothing. Of course i felt tired especially because i worked until two months before my due date and because it was retail but besides that i truly miss the part of my life.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
I LOVED being pregnant until the last 2 months or so when I really started to get VERY uncomfortable and HUGE and along came all the aches and pains with being so big. My son was 2 wks late and was over 10lbs so looking back I see WHY I was so uncomfortable...he used up every inch of space in there
But also once you start to show it is so fun because even strangers will be so nice to you and strike up conversations!
The fear of the unknown is TERRIFYING but you get used to being pregnant. Just try to relax and not stress about it.
I always used to say to my DH that I was absolutely TERRIFIED to go through labor and he always used to say to me 'cant be THAT bad because HUNDREDS of women go through it EVERYDAY and even do it over and over again'

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
Hey you, we are in the same boat. I feel the same way. Everyone has told me it gets a little easier by the 2nd trimester. I am hoping that is the case. Any time you feel down feel free to FM me. I have been going nuts myself and feeling like nothing is my own anymore. The baby chooses what I eat and how I am going to feel. We are do on the same day I am sure we are going to go through a lot of the same things. Keep your head up. This to shall pass and things will start to get a little easier. I send you a hug because I sure you need a few today.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
Me...My body just doesn't like being pregnant and let me know it. I had a difficult pregnancy and honestly, it is a big discussion in my house if I can ever go thru it again. I just didn't enjoy very much of my pregnancy.
The worry...well that NEVER stops because after the baby is born you just worry about the baby being hurt, or sick or something horrible happening.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
I am LOVING being pregnant. I am one of the lucky ones. Though I may not have had it easy easy I am cherishing every grumble, bump and twinge. I make jokes about it and believe the 'pains' Suck but to me it reminds me at the moment my baby is growing and doing what it is supposed to.
The only part that I don't like and I still do it is, is constantly worrying about a miscarriage and checking for blood everytime I use the bathroom- bad I know.

Re: Did anyone NOT like being PG - physically?
I'm beyond excited about having this baby, but I feel like I have every symptom in the book and some days are so tiring and frustrating. I can't wait for the first trimester to end and hopefully things will get a little easier (at least for a little while!).
