Did anyone order personalized SATIN ribbon for favors?

I want to loop personalized (name and wed date) satin ribbons on to our ornament favors so they can be hung on a tree (not by me, but by the guests, when they get home).

I don't know where to get the ribbon!

Anyone have any suggestions?
I've already checked out ebay, but I can't find a vendor that's willing to answer my questions with straight answers.
Most vendors are used to the ribbons being ordered to make bows - I don't want bows, I just want a loop. None of the ebay vendors were able to confirm if that would work out.

ok, i just googled for this pic - i have no idea what it is, but this demonstrates how i want to tie my ribbon....so I need our names on one side...then a space, then the date - WITH enough space at the ends to tie a knot.

Maybe I'm not getting what it is that you want, but you're talking about the satin ribbon that you can write your names on one side and then the date on the other, right?

Party city does them. I think they sell them in a roll so you can cut them yourself.

They don't do satin, only acetate. I was in there this weekend!

I got mine from Wrapwithus and they came on a spool, I had to cut them myself, but you would totally be able to do that.

is it just me or does that example pic you googled look like dog poop covered in fake snow and/or powdered sugar??
