Did anyone set-up a mock table at their reception site?

I wanted to go to Flowerfield to set-up a table to see how it will all look. I am going to call tomorrow to see if I can. Has anyone done this? Am I being to anal?

My reception site said we can go in an hour or two before a scheduled wedding to see how the place is set up. It is sort of like what you are talking about. I don't believe they would just do a private 'mock' one just for me. We plan on doing as they said when the time gets closer.

No, we didn't. I really don't have the time for that. I trust the decorator. Plus I want to be surprised.

My hall does it for the tasting...we will have the tasting served as it will be at the wedding, on a table set like it will be at the wedding.

I asked my hall and they said it wouldn't be a problem to set up a table the way I would like it to look. It's going to be hard to not be able to set it up myself (I'm a control freak) but I'm sure if I show them then they'll be able to make it look beautiful.

That's how I feel. I trust everyone but I just want to see if how I want it will look ok

I didn't do the whole setting thing I went there with my CP and they put the color table cloth I wanted on a table so I could see what it looked like.

Oh, I don't know if they will let me, but I don't plan on taking no for an answer, I def need to see it before hand. I am ordering my own tableclothes, because I want colored ones.. so I need to see it set up before hand, even if I have to do it myself..lol

I saw it set up b/c we got there during the CH of a wedding when we had our tasing. We had the same linnens & place settings....we just got lucky...but I think they probably could have arranged it.

I am just going to see my tables for the first time the day of... it will be like a little surprise...
