Did anyone walk to their church....

instead of having the limo take them from home to the church?
I've heard its very Europeon to have the bride walk from her home to the church and because we were engaged in Europe, will be HM-ing in Europe, and I live literally one block west of our church I think I'd like to walk there.

Everyone (except FH) thinks I'm crazy. What do you girls think?

sounds like a nice idea...especially since all your neighbors will come out and watch...and in Sept it shouldnt be too hot..just concerned about getting the dress dirty...also who else is going to walk with you?

Re: Did anyone walk to their church....

definitely a European thing! FH lives in a primarily italian neighborhood and they've seen tons of bride's walk to the Church!!! FH lives across the street from our Church so he'll definitely be walking!!!!!

In Italy they walk around the town I believe after the wedding as man and wife...

If you wanna walk... then walk!!! I think its a cute idea!

My brother had him and his groomsmen walk to the church, since the church was a block away and it cost less money than renting a limo Do it!

I LOVE the idea!!! i thought about doing it, but it's just that little bit far where I was worried about my dress.

I say do it... but definitely have a back up plan in case it rains.

I think its a great idea! Like the other posters mentioned, I would just be worried about the dress getting dirty but other than that I think it wold be very cool and you'd get some great pics!

I like the idea. But you would have to have your BM's help you carry your dress so it dosent get dirty.

It's your day, do what you want to do - great exercise, great way to show off your beautiful self that day - BUT what if it rains???
