Boss/Co-workers throw a party, or give you a gift after they found out you were engaged??

My boss gave me a set of Tiffany Toasting flutes! and my coworkers gave us some nice gifts also..

yes I was working in a different office when I got engaged and I got lenox toasting flutes(from a lady who was like a mom to me there), a wedding book and lenox picture frame from two of my coworkers there, and mikasa candle holders from my boss at that time.

I work with mostly guys, so not really. We went out for beers one night, but it wasn't really just for the engagement

Two of my co-workers took my to lunch. I am sure the week before my wedding they will throw me a shower. We do it for everyone, even for the boys

ditto - i work with mostly guys too, but my bling was the talk of the day!!! usually everyone chips in for a gift (we have a large office) before the wedding...

A group took me out for lunch for my engagement. Usually for people's bdays, weddings, & babies they collect $ for a gift & have a cake once it gets closer.
