Did anyones mom order a...(pic added).

bridesmaid dress as there MOB dress?????

(Here's my story):
My mom has been looking for months now for a dress and found nothing. We went to My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck (which we love) and looked at a ton and finally I picked out a dress and it was perfect everyone at the store loved it. We ordered it! I get home to look it up on-line and sure enough it came up as a bridesmaid dress. So now I was worried my mom would be confused. She we worry that it was a bridesmaid dress. It was in the section of the MOB dresses. I have pics on my computer at home, I will post it later.
Should it matter?

No, i think my mom will probably end up with a BM dress too. She hasnt liked any MOB dresses.. she says they make her look too old. My mom is about my size and height and looks very young.

AS long as it doesn't look like or is the color of your Bm's resses i wouldn't worry about it.

I think BM dresses work great as MOB dresses! There's absolutely nothing wrong with that!

Definitely does not matter. My mom ended up getting a cocktail dress tea length from the juniors dept. LOL It looks so fantastic on her...it helps that she is all of 5'0 and 110 lbs. LOL

i dont think it matters- no one is going to know- and as long as you both love it- does it really matter????

My mom and FMIL didnt get typical MOB/MOG dresses. They both said that those types of dresses made them feel old.

I wouldnt worry about it. As long as she looks great in it, who cares what the label says!

You know my BM is using her Bridesmaid dress from my wedding to wear at her daughters wedding next year. Luckily I am doig a lighter purple for my wedding and her daughter is doing her BM's in a dark purple. So when my BM went shopping she picked a dress she could wear to both. then she ordered the little 'jacket & handbag' to match the dress to add to it for her daughters wedding (it gives is a different look).

It doesn't matter as long as she loves it!!! You just want to make sure it doesn't look too young on her. My mom ended up trying on this dress and it was pretty but it was more like for a teenager! Looking forward to seeing the pictures!!!

My mom did. We were looking for over a year and she couldn't find anything. Finally she was just looking through BM dresses and found the one below. It's that dress in that color minus the ribbon around the waist.

dont worry!! people will know its your mom not your bridemaid!! dont stress, if she loves the dress and feels good in it, thats all that matters!

My mom didnt end up getting a BM dress but she was looking at them b/c she didnt want a typical MOB dress. It doesnt matter, just as long as its not your BM dress.
