bridesmaid dress as there MOB dress?????

(Here's my story):
My mom has been looking for months now for a dress and found nothing. We went to My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck (which we love) and looked at a ton and finally I picked out a dress and it was perfect everyone at the store loved it. We ordered it! I get home to look it up on-line and sure enough it came up as a bridesmaid dress. So now I was worried my mom would be confused. She we worry that it was a bridesmaid dress. It was in the section of the MOB dresses. I have pics on my computer at home, I will post it later.
Should it matter?

I don't think it matters..... I thought that your mom ordered the same dress as your BMs....LOL

No...hay if it looks great on what does it matter if it is a BMs dress!!!

I don't think that it matters. I am taking my mother this weekend. It seems it harder to find the moms a dress than ourselves. It is our big day right?? LOL

My Mother in Law ordered a bridesmaid dress as her gown. It looked really nice. i think some of the Mom's gowns are really out dated, and make them look older. It doesnt matter (as long as they are different colors than your BM dresses). No one will notice the difference.

my mom is pretty young so she felt that she was too young to wear a mob dress and she refused to even look at them..lol..she ordered a bm dress

No, I dont think it matters. My Mom did the same thing. Every 'mom' dress we saw was frumpy and lacy and just terrible. I dont want her to look like shes 80 when shes far from it. I think as long as it is different from what your girls are wearing its perfectly ok.

my mom and my MIL both purchased bridesmaids dresses. They are both in good shape and feel young, so they wanted to show it off. sometimes the MOB dresses are a little frumpy. i want them to wear whatever they look good in and they feel comfortable in.
