(Here's my story): My mom has been looking for months now for a dress and found nothing. We went to My Daughter's Wedding in Great Neck (which we love) and looked at a ton and finally I picked out a dress and it was perfect everyone at the store loved it. We ordered it! I get home to look it up on-line and sure enough it came up as a bridesmaid dress. So now I was worried my mom would be confused. She we worry that it was a bridesmaid dress. It was in the section of the MOB dresses. I have pics on my computer at home, I will post it later. Should it matter?
As long as your mom's dress isn't the same one as YOUR bridesmaid dress, it doesn't matter what it's called at the store.

I don't think that matters at all. As long as she is happy in it, I think that's all that is important!

Its fine...no one at the wedding will know that the manufacturer considers it a 'bridemaid' dress and not a 'MOB' dress.

i think thats fantastic that she found a dress that she loves - it wouldnt matter to me the 'title' of the dress, no one with know.. and hopefully it will be less expensive because it is classified a BM dress instead of MOB gown

My mom did b/c she said most MOB dresses were too farty for her so she wore a pale pink BM dress

It does not matter if it comes up as a bridesmaid dress as long as she loves it!

i agree ... my mom is too young for the typical MOB dress and some BM dresses are so pretty now-a-days that people wouldn't even know it was a BM dress !!

How it's labeled shouldn't matter. As long as she loves it and you are happy with it I say go for it.

my mom might be ordering a bridesmaid dress as well..Honestly it was a lot cheaper than the MOB dresses and looked the nicest on her.

That dress is gorgeous! Perfect for a mom. who cares what the title said... I think my mom looked at a couple that were listed as 'prom' LOL.

My mom is thinking of ordering a Bari Jay BM dress as her MOB dress. She looks and feels great in it and no one will even know! (She'll be getting the cocoa color; not white )
