he did. and i was so happy when i found out he did that. he was with me in my room and then told me he had to ask my parents about my christmas present. (this was in october, but its normally for him to start xmas shopping then so i didnt think anything of it)

Yup FH did.He wouldnt ask me to marry him till it was ok with my parents. My dad did all the talking which is weird beause he is the quiet one and my mom didnt say a word.

Yes he asked them both seperately. He told my dad not to tell my mom since he wanted to ask her and he really never told her! A few days later FH called my mom. He also kind of asked my brother!
I did, I asked her mother first, because we were only dating like 8 months when I thought of asking, actually I had asked her already but made her wait to tell her parents until I asked... When her mother said she thought it was great I asked her Dad and he said the same thing so we came out and told them...

When I had a meeting after work one night, FH called and asked my parents out to dinner and told them not to tell me. So they knew, but didnt know when. So when it happened it was a surprise to everyone :) Oh, and FH refused to show it to anyone b4 he gave it to me. He wanted it to be special. lol
