I'm almost ready to register. So far FH has been great when it comes to vendor meetings and stuff, but he wants me to have full reign over what goes in our home as long as I don't choose nothing too 'she-she-foo-foo' as he says.
A lot of you already know that me and FH's schedules are weird, so my thing is:
Do I drag him to register with me for 3 hours or-
Give him a get out jail free card and just take my mom?

I've gone a few times now b/c its takes a long time....Fh came once and he was alright....but I would recommend bringing your mom, my mom has come with me twice now and she is just so knowledgable about the china and pots....she knows whats crap and whats really nice...so it was great having her there....plus I love the mother/daughter bonding part of it.

I did the registries without FH, he didn't care, plus it was more fun for me to do it and i didn't have to worry about him getting bored

I think it's up to you...if he doesn't mind I don't see why it would be a issue...when your done I would either take him to see everything or show him online...
FH wants to go...he's into kitchen appliances and comforters in a big way

if you can get away with you just go with your mom. my FH would never let me go with just my mom. he has already said the he & my sister are going to register & i can stay home. lol. he is the cook so of course he has to pick out the kitchen stuff. but he says that i pick out other stuff that is either too layed back or too fancy & nothing in between.
so when we register it will be me, FH & my sister.

I brought FH and he wanted to kill me for it
He had fun at BBB because there were more gadget type things he could put on it. But when we spent 4 hours at Fortunoff picking out china and crystal, he nearly had a panic attack. He kept going out for cigarettes and going off on his own because he was so bored.
Needless to say, when I switched my registry from Fortunoff to Macy's (he was none too happy about that), I was sure to bring my mom instead of FH.

FH went with me to every place we registered...We are buliding our lives together and need to supply ourselves for it, so why wouldnt he be involved??!! (He loved doing it just as much as I did!!)

Haven't registered yet (b/c we're not having an e-party) but when we do, we will do it together. Want to make sure its stuff we will both like and use.

Honestly, it depends on your FH. Mine is the type that if I had free reign, he'd later say, 'Why did you pick this? Why did you get that?' If you're FH isn't like that then bring Mom, BUT if you think you will get any comments later, drag him.

ill take FH because he is picky...theres no way hes gonna want me registering for kitchen appliances, or vacuums, or anything like that without him seeing and offering opinions.
crystal/china on the other hand, he may jus wanna OK and agree w/the pattern, but hes not gonna care about how many pieces/settings, etc

Nope - wanted nothing to do with it - the only thing he said he wants is a good set of knives - so we'll go back together and put knives on the list. I do recommend bring a family member or friend though.

when i go to register fh wants to be there, i said just stay home with ur friends and me and my mom will go. he told me know so i guess fh will be following me around that day.

Yes, FH wants to be real involved - which is a good thing!! He was surprisingly super excited to register with me as well. The girls at the places I did register loved him because he was so in to it! It was actually pretty funny. Although - I do have to say that he did go a bit shooter happy with the registery gun though - we definitely had to revise after we got home LOL.

i would drag him to register with you (that is what i am doing with mine). just because its going to be our stuff so i want him to at least like whatever we are registered for.
